The Australian Pink Floyd Show
The Australian Pink Floyd Show will perform four classic albums and a special ‘fans request' set over two nights at this year's Summer Pops extravaganza.
Back by huge popular demand, having been voted the Summer Pops favourite artist, The Australian Pink Floyd Show are set to make it their seventh year running at the Pops, when they take to the stage at the new Liverpool Echo Arena, Kings Dock Waterfront in July.
On Friday, 4th July, they will perform Wish You Were Here and The Best Of The Wall and on Saturday, 26th July, they will perform Dark Side Of The Moon and Animals. On both nights they will also perform a special ‘fans request' set, when Aussie Floyd fans will be able to request their favourite Pink Floyd tracks.
"It's no secret that we've got a very special bond with the Liverpool audience", said keyboard player, Jason Sawford, currently on tour in Sweden: "so, for our seventh Pops performance and because it's a special year for the City, we wanted to do something unique to thank our Liverpool fans for the support over the years. To reproduce four classic albums is going to be a massive task, but we can't wait and it's going to be exciting for us to see what extra songs the fans request."
The Aussie's have played to over 55,000 Pops fans - more than any other act in Pops history and have played close to two million people world wide! The Australian Pink Floyd Show are currently on a 56-date tour of mainland Europe. Following SIX arena tours of North America in the last four years and directly after their first ever shows in Israel, the live music and lights spectacle that is TAPFS will reinvent itself, once again, for its most ambitious musical show to date.
