Meat Loaf
Grammy Award winner, and one of the top selling artists of all time, MEAT LOAF returns to the Summer Pops on Wednesday 2nd July.
Stadium rock heavyweight with no equal, Meat Loaf, will be bringing the biggest tunes, the biggest noise and the biggest voice to this year's Summer Pops. His legendary hit ‘Bat Out of Hell' is still the anthem to end all anthems.
Meat Loaf first started his musical career appearing in the musicals ‘Hair' and ‘Rainbow' in the late 60's.
In 1977, Meat Loaf made history with the release of ‘Bat Out Of Hell,' which featured the smash hits ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Lights,' ‘Two Out of Three Ain't Bad' and ‘You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth.' 16 years later, lightning struck twice with' Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell', which included the international chart-topper ‘I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' and earned Meat Loaf a Grammy for Best Rock Vocal Solo Performance. Combined, the two Bat albums sold nearly 50 million copies worldwide, establishing ‘Bat Out Of Hell' as a true, musical franchise. 2006 saw the release of ‘Bat Out Of Hell 111': The Monster Is Loose', which more than lived up to the standard of excellence set by its two predecessors.
Meat Loaf, one of most diverse talents in entertainment today, has appeared in more than 60 television and feature films including, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (as Eddie), Roadie, Fight Club, Wayne's World, Out of Bounds, The Squeeze, Leap of Faith and, most recently, a critically acclaimed role as Jack Black's father in Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny.
