Crosby, Stills & Nash
Folk-rock, supergroup CROSBY, STILLS & NASH have signed up for The Liverpool Summer Pops Festival at the ECHO Arena and will be performing on Wednesday 7th July.
"We can't wait to bring our world tour to Liverpool this summer. The City has such a musical legacy. It will be an honour" said Graham Nash.
Crosby, Stills & Nash have been performing together for over 40 years, famously playing their debut at Woodstock in 1969. With extensive touring experience under their belt, 2010 sees Crosby, Stills & Nash embark on a world tour.
Crosby, Stills & Nash formed in 1969 as former member of The Byrds, David Crosby and Stephen Stills of Buffalo Springfield joined forces. A chance meeting with Blackpool born, Graham Nash, as he toured California with The Hollies, led to an impromptu jamming session, during which the magic of Crosby, Stills & Nash, as we know it, was discovered.
Renowned worldwide for their skillful songwriting, musicianship and intricate three-part harmonies, Crosby, Stills & Nash have collectively produced a catalogue of timeless hits. ‘Marrakesh Express', 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes', 'Helplessly Hoping', 'Guinnevere', 'Teach Your Children', 'Wooden Ships', 'Dark Star' and 'Just A Song Before I Go', to name just a few.
Crosby, Stills & Nash have always sung about socially relevant issues. In doing so, their music is considered to have had a societal impact rivaling that of the Beatles - the only American band to do so.
In 2009, the supergroup were inducted to the Songwriters' Hall of Fame. David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash are recognised in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both individually and together, with Crosby, Stills & Nash.
